More than 400 riders, including famed motorcycle customizer Arlen Ness and NHRA star Brandon Bernstein participated in the 100-mile ride that raised more than $100,000 for the American Diabetes Association. Billy Bush,
co-anchor of Access Hollywood, acted as the Grand Marshall. Following
the ride, Bruce Rossmeyer unveiled the first motorcycle in the highly
anticipated “Elvis Presley 30th Anniversary Signature Collection.” CEO
of Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. Jack Soden was on hand to help unveil the new collection as well as renowned licensed Harley-Davidson® fine artists - painter David Uhl and sculptor Jeff Decker, who unveiled their pieces that will accompany the motorcycles.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s passing, Bruce
Rossmeyer created the unique “Elvis Presley 30th Anniversary® Bike
Signature Collection” that emulates the 1957 Black Harley-Davidson FLH model that Elvis owned.
Only 30 models of the “Elvis Presley 30th Anniversary Bike Signature
Collection” will be created, and in order to purchase one of the
Anniversary Bikes, please contact Lisa Rossmeyer Wade at Bruce
Rossmeyer’s Southern Thunder Harley-Davidson 662-349-1099. Bikes
numbered 2-24 will retail for $58,815.
Bike number “1” (one) was sold for $100,000 with $40,000 of the price
donated to the American Diabetes Association. Bike number “30” (thirty)
will be auctioned in Memphis, TN on August 15th during Elvis Week, the
annual celebration of Elvis’ life and career.
Each motorcycle in the collection also comes with a painting by David Uhl and a sculpture by Jeff Decker. Each exclusive piece created by Uhl and Decker will be numbered from one to 30 and paired with the corresponding motorcycle.
The weekend also included activities such as a VIP event and pre-ride
party at the Gibson Guitar Beale Street Showcase, tours of the Gibson
Guitar Factory and Graceland Mansion, a post-ride party with food,
beverages, and live music on the Graceland visitor center property,
special commemorative gifts and more. |
